Teacher

Rates starting from £45/hr, £25 for 30 mins
I’m a highly experienced teacher of all ages and backgrounds, offering lessons in piano, theory, organ and composition. I mentor dozens of students for ABRSM Grade exams, many of whom gain distinction and merit marks. However, I’m equally adept in teaching casual learners, creating a welcoming and enjoyable environment for those pursuing piano as a hobby.

An award-winning composer, whose works have been premiered in Somerset House and the Amaryllis Fleming Hall, I can provide the perfect music for you, your group, or your media. Highly proficient in Sibelius, I offer an engraving service to give your scores that professional edge.




Jacques Allen (born 2001) is a British composer, pianist, organist, and teacher. A music graduate from the University of Oxford, he currently works as the Director of Music at St. Margaret and All Saints Church, Canning Town. He is also studying part-time at the Royal College of Music for a Master of Music (Composition) Degree, under Kenneth Hesketh. Jacques’s works span a variety of musical genres, including concert, film, operatic, and sacred music. As a pianist, Jacques has performed at prestigious venues such as Somerset House, the Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch, and Clare College, Cambridge. In 2024, his composition Elegy for the Feminine Man won the RCM Large Ensemble Competition, and in the previous year, his work was featured in a multimedia installation that won the Art: High Budget category of the 2023 [d]arc awards.
